We are seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic, diverse team in the role of **Health, Safety and Environmental (HS/EHS) Manager**for our Scoudouc Location.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Health and Safety Management**:
- Develop, implement, and manage health and safety policies and procedures to comply with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Working with WorkSafe NB and WCB Alberta.
- Organize and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, KPI’s and trends.
- Write, review and implement HSP’s in alliance with our corporate program (McWane).
- Write JSA’s for all positions within the organization.
- **Environmental Compliance**:
- Ensure the facility complies with environmental regulations, including waste management, air quality, water discharge, and hazardous materials handling.
- Develop and implement environmental management systems (EMS) and sustainability initiatives.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage permits, reporting, and audits.
- Monitor environmental performance and develop strategies for improvement.
- **Leadership and Culture**:
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the facility.
- Serve as a key advisor to the leadership team on HS/EHS matters.
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives in health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Mentor and develop the HS/EHS team and safety committee.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all HS/EHS policies, procedures, and training records.
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports in a timely manner.
- Communicate HS/EHS performance and improvements to internal and external stakeholders.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety is preferred._
- 2+ years of experience in an HS/EHS role within a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in managerial capacity._
- Knowledge of Canadian HS/EHS laws and regulations and OSHA in the USA._
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills._
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful safety and environmental programs._
- Certification in health and safety (e.g., CRSP, CSP) or environmental management is preferred._
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HS/EHS management software (Cority/Jira)._
- Proficiency in English is required; French would be considered an asset._
**Working Conditions**:
- This role involves working in both office and manufacturing floor environments.
- The position may require occasional travel to other facilities or regulatory bodies. Current Passport with no travel restrictions -Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to support plant operations
Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
