**Cable Installation Technician**

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cable Installation Technician to join our team in Edmonton. As a Cable Installation Technician, you will assist our Technicians in installing cables, hardware, and associated equipment in large building complexes, construction sites, and potentially larger projects. This is a full-time contract position with the possibility of long-term employment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist Technicians in installing CAT 5 and 6 cables and conducting termination and testing.
- Conduct installation and testing of fiber optic cables.
- Complete raceway and conduit installations for effective cable management.
- Demonstrate proficiency in finding cable pathways in various structures.
- Work collaboratively with the team and follow instructions diligently.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving abilities to overcome technical challenges.
- Capable of working from a 10ft ladder to access higher points for installation.
- Must be physically fit and able to carry up to 75lbs of equipment.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain current WHMIS and First Aid certifications.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- At least 1 year of experience in cable installation.
- Proficiency in CAT 5 and 6 termination and testing.
- Familiarity with fiber optic cable installation and testing procedures.
- Ability to install raceways and conduits for organized cable management.
- Must currently reside in Edmonton or its immediate vicinity.
- Strong ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
