**Cable Repair Labourer**

Mine Cable Services Corporation designs and manufactures high voltage cable connection systems including high voltage cable couplers in conjunction with cable repair equipment and materials, cable repair training and services, and rental equipment.

MCS is looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cable Repair Labourer in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. High attention to detail, mathematic accuracy and meticulous craftsmanship is required to ensure quality of cable repairs. Cable Repair Labourer must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

**Job Description & Duties**:
**Mine Cable Services will train the Cable Repair Labourer in the following**:

- Maintain a safe and proper work environment for yourself and other. Keep your work area neat and free of debris.
- Cable fault location and repairing of cables of various sizes and voltages using a variety of techniques and materials
- Vulcanized Splice or Cable Vulcanizing Oven
- Various phase - jacket repairs
- Terminations
- Assembly and/or installation of couplers onto cable
- Assemble/Repair of junction boxes
- Testing of couplers and junction boxes
- Occasional cable repair involving travel to customer site with Cable Repair Technician

**Additional Information**:

- Scheduled hours of work: 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
- Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Mechanically inclined and able to use various hand tools
- Must be able to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing

Note: The position of Cable Repair Labourer to develop into a Cable Repair Technician, after receiving the necessary training and achieving the require competency level.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: From $21.00 per hour
