As we prepare for a busy fall and winter, Hotel Grand Pacific is looking for more Banquet Servers to join our team. An independent luxury property located on Victoria's beautiful inner harbour, we pride ourselves on creating an exceptional experience for our guests whatever the occasion. With a total 10,000 square feet of banquet space in our property, we host a range of events including weddings, Christmas parties, small business meetings, and large conferences.

$17.87/hr plus gratuities

**Schedule Details**:

- Minimum availability of 3 shifts per week is required, including 2 full days of availability
- Shifts are typically 8 hours in length
- Shifts can vary between early mornings, afternoons, and late evenings

**Duties**:

- Work as part of team to set up and reset rooms for all types of banquet functions and group meetings
- Monitor quality of food & beverage products before service and coordinate with the Kitchen to ensure adequate supply
- Provide excellent guest service by observing the room, anticipating guest needs, and answering questions
- Execute daily work assignments as coordinated and scheduled by the Banquet Manager

**What We’re Looking For**:

- 1 year of serving experience, preferably including at events
- Food Safe and Serving It Right Certifications
- Comfortable with physical work & able to safely lift/push/pull 30 pounds without exertion
- Maintains a professional presence and high standards of personal presentation
- Observant, organized and attentive to detail
- Solid knowledge of wines, or a willingness to learn
- Friendly team player with a high level of initiative
- Meets the requirements listed under Schedule Details
- Access to a car is preferred given occasional late finishes
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in BC
