Job Summary

The Information Technology Services (IT Services) department is looking for an experienced IT professional to lead the migration of on-premises workloads to the Azure cloud and provide operational support. Some of the key activities performed in this role will be:

- coordination of migration activities between IT and business stakeholders
- analysis of workloads and right sizing for Azure deployment
- migration of workloads to Azure
- configuration of tools to monitor the compliance and health of workloads in Azure
- updating records and documentation

In addition to leading the migration activities, this position provides technical expertise, guidance, and recommendations for cloud infrastructure and cloud platform services, including development, installation, lifecycle, and infrastructure. This position provides project management for cloud solution projects including developing timelines and documentation, and preparing and providing reports on project status and challenges. This position oversees the implementation, verification, and acceptance of new hardware, software, upgrades, and services. This position also oversees and remedies security-related issues including reviewing output of automated jobs, performing vulnerability scans, and preparing compliance reports.

The schedule for this position requires the incumbent to work variable hours, including regular attendance at early morning meetings.
**Job Description**:
What you will do
- Provides technical expertise, guidance, and recommendations for cloud infrastructure and cloud platform services, including development, installation, lifecycle, and infrastructure.
- Provides project management for cloud solution projects including developing timelines and documentation, and preparing and providing reports on project status and challenges.
- Oversees the implementation, verification, and acceptance of new hardware, software, upgrades, and services.
- Configures and tests performance of on-premise and cloud platforms.
- Oversees and remedies security-related issues including reviewsing output of automated jobs, performing vulnerability scans, and preparing compliance reports.
- Oversees and analyzes the usage of cloud platform services, including providing recommendations on the allocation of monthly-usage billing.
- Prepares and maintains operational documentation including system configurations, operational procedures, and seminars and training sessions.

Required Education
- Four-Year Bachelor Degree or equivalent. In addition, requires trade certification, qualification, or on-going learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields.

Required Experience
- More than 5 years of experience.
- Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Effectively leverage relevant data as input to making decisions.
- Appropriately assess risks before making a decision.
