Job Overview

**Towne Millwork Ltd.** is looking for a Shipper/Receiver Assistant to join our team. We are looking for a motivated, self-starter who is honest, reliable and a team player. Wage range is between **$20-26 per hour**, based on experience

This is a **full-time** position from **Mon-Fri, 7:00AM-4:00PM**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Preparation and coordination of shipping documents for local transport and international customs
- Communicate and collaborate with team members, and various stakeholders to ensure proper documentation is supplied with each shipment; this includes packing, sealing, and labeling materials, movement of goods, delivery inquiries and concerns
- Following shipping and receiving policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of materials to customers and job-sites
- Arrange for courier pick-up for incoming/outgoing goods
- Log and record all shipment of goods
- Receive all product deliveries and maintain flow of inventory to the facility (sort and unpack product or materials, operate forklift to transport product to appropriate areas)
- Safely load, unload, move, ship, and receive product and inventory to ensure accuracy and quality of loads and their protection for delivery to customer
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Adhere to and comply with all health and safety rules, regulations, and legislation

**REQUIREMENTS**
- 1 to 5 years of shipping/receiving experience recommended
- International/cross-border shipping experience is an asset
- Ability to acquire freight rate quotations for both international and domestic freight movement
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret Architectural Millwork Drawings
- Forklift Certification (inside & outside environments)
- Knowledge of and experience with related material handling equipment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Proficiency in MS Office and some EXCEL programs
- Experience with ERP is an asset
- Taking on all challenges with passion, optimism, and a solution focused attitude
- Ability to maintain the safety of yourself and others at all times through best practices on the production floor and in the workplace in general
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Familiar with a shop environment
- Must be hardworking and reliable
- Must have own vehicle, not on transit route
