**Assistant Manager**

**Responsibilities**
**General**
- Overseeing the daily operations of the showroom, including sales, customer service, warehouse operations and maintenance.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, inviting and well-presented showroom.
- Monitor retail operating costs, sales margins, and resources
- Ensure all employees adhere to company’s policies and guidelines
- Assist in maintaining a positive morale among staff.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and inclusive work environment for all staff
- Ensure customers are provided the best service and are pleased with purchases and deliveries.

**Customer Service & Operations**
- Handle complaints from customers identifying issues and finding an appropriate solution
- Arrange service calls and follow up on results
- Schedule product pickups at builders local facilities
- Schedule deliveries
- Supervise warehouse & delivery teams
- Quality Control
- Maintain accurate records for Delivery Vehicles
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries via social media
- Foster positive working relationships with business partners
- Oversee custom orders

**Sales Management**
- Assist the GM in planning and implementing strategies to attract customers
- Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives
- Supervise and motivate staff to perform their best
- Coach and support new and existing Sales Consultants and Operations team members
- Evaluate employee performance and identify training needs

**Requirements**:

- Leadership and organizational abilities
- Customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
- Heavy Physical Effort - e.g., carrying/lifting heavy items, transferring/lifting, or pushing items, working in awkward positions, operating heavy equipment, or holding body in one position for a prolonged period of time.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible shifts, Saturdays a must
- Problem-solving attitude
- Good math skills with the ability to create and analyze reports, spreadsheets and sales statistics
- Proficient computer and technology skills
- Experience with recruiting and performance evaluation processes preferred
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Professional dress and appearance

**Experience**
- More than 3 years Supervisory experience
- More than 3 years Customer Service/ Sales experience
- Related Sales experience an asset
- Social Media skills an asset
- 3 years driving light duty commercial truck experience an asset

**Education/License/Certification**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s license required
- Health and Safety certification an asset

**Store hours**: Mon-Wed 9am-5pm, Thur 9am-7pm, Fri-Sat 9am-5pm

**Job Type**: Full-time

**Salary**: $55,000 - $60,000 per year + Bonus
