We’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic **Second Cook** to join our dynamic culinary team at one of Vancouver’s premier private clubs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for quality food, teamwork, and a desire to grow in a fast-paced, professional kitchen.

The Second Cook supports the First Cook and Chef de Partie with day-to-day kitchen operations. You’ll help prepare and cook a variety of dishes, assist with kitchen organization, and ensure high standards for food quality, presentation, and cleanliness are consistently met - all to delight our members and guests

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Assist with the preparation and cooking of menu items using proper techniques (grilling, sautéing, frying, etc.)
- Ensure ingredients are prepped and ready for service (mise en place)
- Follow portion control, plating standards, and food safety protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Support inventory rotation, receiving deliveries, and minimizing waste
- Communicate effectively with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation
- Adapt to changing needs in the kitchen and support where needed during busy service periods

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 2+ years of culinary experience in a professional/corporate kitchen
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and kitchen stations
- Excellent organizational skills & ability to work effectively under pressure with mínimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards
- Food safety and sanitation certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Team player with excellent communication and leadership skills
- Passion for cooking and continuous learning

**WORK HOURS**
- Open availability including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Typical shifts will include working both Saturdays & Sundays. Weekday shifts may either be mornings, afternoons or evenings based on business needs

**WAGE: $25.29 per hour** + bonus eligibility
