When We Eat is a fast-growing manufacturer of frozen snacks and food products. We are seeking a **Quality Assurance Coordinator **for a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension or conversion to permanent employment. This role reports to the QA Manager and plays a key part in maintaining and improving food safety and quality management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and certification requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety Management System to ensure full compliance with regulatory, customer, and certification standards.
- Develop and implement new food safety management programs for products across meat, dairy, dry, and frozen categories.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and monitor production processes for consistent quality standards.
- Support regulatory, third-party, and internal audits, ensuring all documentation is current, accurate, and ready for review.
- Handle non-compliance issues and drive corrective actions to meet food safety and quality requirements.
- Train and mentor production staff on food safety and quality procedures and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and R&D, to ensure ongoing food safety and quality compliance.
- Adapt to and take on additional tasks as needed to support the overall goals and operational efficiency of the company.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Diploma or University Degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance.
- HACCP proficient; experience with GFSI-recognized schemes
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to identify and resolve non-compliance issues efficiently.
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
