**SUMMARY**

Under direction of a teacher or School Administrator, provides support to students with social, emotional, physical and academic needs.

**DUTIES**
- Helps to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) as directed by the teacher
- Provides direct educational classroom support to students in various classrooms
- Collects student learning and behavioural data (eg. records, reports, plans)
- Monitor and support students’ behaviour during class time, class changes, breaks and lunchtime
- Monitors student work and assists students with work completion
- Monitors class/students when teacher is out of the room for short periods of time

**QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE**
- High School Diploma
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Experience and/or training in education environments
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Patience and experience working with children
- The ability to be flexible/adaptable and committed to contributing to the wider school community
- Experience in working as part of a collaborative team and possesses strong communication skills
- Shows initiative and flexibility in working with students from K to 12

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $23.89 per hour
