The Regional PR Manager will develop relationships with consumer, corporate, business, and financial media on behalf of the brand. In this role you will develop relationships and work closely with the marketing and product development teams to help generate proactive media engagement strategies highlighting key news around YETI and its products. In this role you will demonstrate expertise in media relations, as well as an entrepreneurial and goal-oriented approach.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the development of proactive PR plans covering consumer campaigns, news generation and product placement for Canada
- Regionally implement and execute the YETI Global Communications strategy
- Facilitate and manage all Canadian media relations, both proactive or reactive, including mainstream media and endemic, as well as foster key industry and influencer relationships, relevant influencer partnerships within the Canadian market
- Build and foster local media relations and pitching plans, leveraging Global pitch materials and creating relevant local/regional materials as required for print, broadcast and online outlets across lifestyle/consumer, targeted trade, corporate/business/financial outlets
- Proactively champion and communicate market nuances and local/cultural variances to Global team
- Support new product launches through proactive media outreach, developing strong relationships with key internal spokespeople in the process to ensure cross functional success
- Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges and support managing media inquiries around issues and potential crises in partnership with Global Communications team
- Build and manage reporting materials highlighting key metrics and KPIs
- Deliver strategic communications counsel to internal spokespeople and stakeholders on communications challenges and opportunities
- Manage reactive media inquiries
- Serve as company spokesperson when appropriate and for regional/local lifestyle press opportunities

**Qualifications and Attributes**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Communications and/or Public Relations
- At least 6 years of experience in public relations
- At least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of Canadian media landscape with existing media relationships and media savvy, with ability to secure media interest and coverage
- Bilingual in English and French considered an asset
- Expertise in consumer and retail PR initiatives
- Strategic and ability to connect PR initiatives back to business objectives
- Team player who is willing to roll up their sleeve and jump into whatever is needed to get the job done
- Strong result orientation and ownership
- Highly organized and detail oriented with good project management skills. Able to juggle multiple, and sometimes, conflicting priorities and needs
