Blue Sky Hemp Ventures Ltd. currently has opening for one **Team Development Coordinator** at our hemp and cannabis extracts facility in Saskatoon. The Team Development Coordinator is a new supervisory role focused on continuous improvement of our extract operations team's capabilities, workflow, and processes.

This is a **full time**, **permanent**, **salaried **position expected to work 40 hours a week. We currently have three 8-hour shifts running 24/5, and the Team Development Coordinator will be expected to spend time with each shift throughout the month. This will require a rotating schedule, which will be discussed during the interview.

**Key responsibilities**

  • Perform or coordinate staff process training.
  • Work cooperatively with operators and leads to determine workflow/process improvements, and disseminate best practices across all teams, helping all teams improve productivity and KPIs.
  • Assist management and QA in deploying process and equipment changes, including installation, controlled document changes, and implementing team training.
  • Assist operators, lead operators, and management with supervisory communication. Support the operations team in communicating team needs to management.
  • Work on an offset rotating schedule to facilitate communication between teams, and with management.
  • Assist management and QA in safety and quality investigations, taking witness statements and determining causes, and working with management to develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Review and complete batch records, and have operators make identified corrections in a timely manner.

As a Team Development Coordinator you are required to work closely with lead operators and extraction operators, hands-on with the process. **Process experience or knowledge should include**:

  • All aspects of cannabis and hemp extraction, distillation, and isolation.
  • Process optimization and underlying physical science to common hemp and cannabis extraction and purification processes.
  • Underlying guiding quality principles for safe cannabis or food manufacturing.
  • Operation of all extracts processes, including hands-on operation steps, standard operating procedures, workflow optimization, and equipment functioning.
  • Good production practices (GPP) standards as they are applied under Blue Sky’s quality program.
  • Management expectations and key performance indicators on safety, quality, and throughput.
  • Safety and quality reporting procedures.
  • Company policies.

**Required skills, training, and/or experience**

  • Excellent and professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on experience with cannabis processing. Experience with processes used at Blue Sky is an asset.
  • Experience with safety documentation and systems
  • 2+ years of team leadership experience is an asset
  • Skill and experience in reporting and interpretation of data (KPIs, production efficiencies)
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret SOP’s related to food or pharmaceutical industry
  • Technical writing skills to translate practices into SOPs and controlled forms
  • Strong organizational abilities and detail orientated abilities, including thorough documentation skills.
  • Comfort working with spreadsheets or ERP system data entry
  • Reasonable physical fitness such that you can stand and/or walk for significant periods of a shift, and lift or manipulate processing screens, bulk bags of product, and/or attend to the physical maintenance of certain equipment

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
