**IT TEST MANAGER** Information Technology Victoria or Vancouver Lower Mainland **The Opportunity** **The Role** Reporting to the Director IT Enterprise Applications, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as: - Designing, implementing and maintaining an end-to-end testing framework, encompassing both manual and automated testing practices. - Developing and enforcing testing standards, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across all projects. - Establishing a testing governance model to monitor compliance with testing processes and policies across the organization. - Regularly assessing and enhancing testing practices to maintain a high level of quality and effectiveness. - Conducting periodic audits of testing activities to ensure strict adherence to the testing framework, standards, and requirements. - Leading the automation strategy for testing, identifying and implementing appropriate tools, technologies and processes. - Promoting a culture of automation by guiding teams on the adoption of test automation best practices. - Collaborating with development and QA teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline for efficient release cycles. - Providing guidance, mentorship, and support to project teams on testing processes, methodologies and tool usage. - Coaching teams on test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting to rive a consistent approach to testing across the organization. - Fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing, and upskilling within the team, with a strong emphasis on innovation and quality. - Collaborating with stakeholders across various departments to ensure testing requirements are clearly defined, understood, and met. - Performs other duties as assigned. **What you bring to the team** - Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - In depth knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and testing best practices. - Experience with testing tools: Micro Focus Quality Center & JIRA. - Extensive experience in software testing, including experience in a test management role. - Demonstrated experience in creating and managing testing frameworks and governance models. - Strong background in testing automation, including hands-on experience with automation tools (i.e. Selenium, Junit, TestNG, Cypress). - Experience with CI/CD tools and integration (i.e. Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps). **Join us** If this sounds like your next great career move, please submit your cover letter and resume by **December 18, 2024.** **Additional information** - "We connect communities and customers to people and places important in their lives”_ - We appreciate the interest of all applicants.
