**Job Description**:
**Talent Acquisition Partner - COVID 19 Support (up to 6 month assignment)**
**Human Resources, Corporate Services**
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain working relationships with hiring managers to understand current and future recruitment needs, job vacancy specifications, requirements, and to make recommendations on optimum sourcing channels
- Educate, consult and transfer knowledge of staffing processes to hiring managers
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
- Using behavioural interviewing techniques facilitate individual and/or panel interviews; provide support and counsel to hiring managers throughout the interviewing process.
- Manage the job offer process, including reference and criminal checks
- Track and report on critical recruitment data monthly
- Interpret, promote and provide advice on compliance with The Region’s hiring policies, procedures and standards, as well as external regulatory and legislative requirements
- Participate in recruitment initiatives including diversity and inclusion
- Remain current on recruitment practices, sufficient to provide value-added consulting to client on an ongoing basis
- Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
- Continuously improve recruitment processes to better serve client needs and meet recruitment objectives
**Qualifications**:
- Graduation from a university or college with an emphasis in Human Resources Management. CHRP would be considered an asset
- 2 - 5 years’ experience recruiting - a solid background of behavioural-based interviewing and assessment skills
- ** Experience in recruitment supporting a unionized workforce is required**:
- Developed consulting skills to lead a front-end analysis and guide the recruitment process to closure, including risk management measures such as reference checking
- Experience in developing and implementing recruitment strategies and initiatives
- Understanding of social media (LinkedIn, Twitter) and the ability to use these tools for sourcing methods
- Strong interpersonal, networking, communication (written & oral), customer service, and organizational skills
- Recruitment experience within public sector and unionized environment is required
- A blend of corporate and agency recruitment experience is preferred
**Contract Duration**: up to 6 month assignment
In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at the worksite. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.
**Hours of Work***: 35 hours per week,**
**8:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday**
