**SCRAP YARD COORDINATOR**

The Scrap Yard Coordinator is responsible for key procedures in the metal recycling process and assists with the general operations of the scrap yard.**Responsibilities**:_
- Receiving, grading, weighing, and sorting incoming metal products.
- Greeting customers as they enter the yard and providing exceptional customer service when assisting with their metal.
- Preparing finished packages of processed metal products in accordance with customer requirements.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized yard by disposing of waste materials and performing other general maintenance.
- **Qualifications**_
- **Ability for Physical Work** - This is a physically demanding job and applicants must be able to frequently walk on uneven ground, handle and grasp materials, crouch, bend, reach, climb, twist, push, pull and lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- **Comfortable Working Outside** - Applicants must be comfortable working outside in all types of weather. Rypac provides all employees with a full set of high-quality, industrial rain gear
- **English** - Applicants must be able to communicate verbally in English
- **Forklift** - Applicants must be able to operate a forklift and various small tools. Successful applicants without prior experience operating a forklift will be provided with on-the-job training in accordance with CSA B335-15.

Previous experience in the scrap metal industry is preferred but not required.

**Compensation & Benefits**
- Starting wage of $22.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience
