**Position Summary**

Magellan Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent Electrical Technician at our manufacturing hub in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The **Electrical Technician** will support manufacture of prototype and/or one-off Rocket or Space Systems hardware. The position will require that the individual be involved in all aspects of new product design - from initiation, planning, implementation, to closure - and participate with the design and development of various processes and hardware.

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Support the design, development, testing and implementation of new manufacturing processes and methodologies under the direction of Engineering.
- Support/Generate production documentation under the direction of Engineering.
- Design and fabricate electrical shop aids and assemble components into related mechanical cases.
- Dismantle, repair, assemble, fabricate, bench test, function, service and troubleshoot electronics and electrical assemblies (printed circuit boards, units, electrical harnesses) used in Rocket and Space Systems hardware.

**Position Requirements / Qualifications**
- **Required**:_
- Diploma in Electronics Technology/Technician or Electrical Engineering Technology from accredited college. Equivalent training and experience may be considered.
- Eligibility for ITAR/Controlled Goods registration and eligible for Security Clearance to “NATO Secret” level.
- Travel will be required.
- **Desired/Preferred**:_
- Knowledge and/or work experience in the following areas: Printed Wiring Board assembly (hand and SMT soldering);
Polymerics (staking and conformal coating of circuit boards);
Cable harness manufacture.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and provide feedback on manufacturability.
- Knowledge of IPC-J-STD-001 (Electronic Assemblies).
- Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Standards (Harness).

- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately is important.
- Ability to deliver multiple tasks to set schedules with mínimal supervision.
