Brightline Engineering has a new Electrical/Powerline Drafting Technician

opportunity with opportunities to travel to the United States. The

Electrical/Powerline Drafting Technician will assist technical teams of detailers,

designers and engineers to create world class detail and compliance on a variety

of electrical and powerline projects. This position will assist in developing

computer-aided drafting design solutions and electrical and powerline compliance.

**Education and Experience**: (Combination of education, training, and experience

will be considered) High school diploma or equivalent and a 2 year college diploma

in the electrical or powerline fields. Minimum of one year of experience on

electrical transmission or distribution, or related industry, including substations.

**Main Duties**:
- Assist with preparing and reviewing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.- Assist with preparing and revising plot drawings.- Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures.- Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline.- Assisting with reviewing existing electrical infrastructure to ensure it meets design and compliance requirements.- Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects.- Assist with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs.- Assist in continuous drafting detail improvement efforts.- Research solutions to project concerns and recommend solutions to design problems.- Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.

**Pay**: Pay will be dependent upon qualifications and experience. Overtime and

emergency call-outs required.

**Citizenship Requirement**: Employee must have either Canadian or US citizenship

for work visa requirements and be able to enter the United States.

**Job Type**: Full-time

**Willingness to travel**: Employee will be required to travel to the United States for

2-3 week shifts. Travel, accommodations and food will be covered.

**Work Location**: In person
