Arborist Apprentice

**Job Duties**
- Assisting the climbing operations
- Setting up job sites
- Performing safety inspections
- Performing maintenance on a variety of chainsaws and equipment
- Operating a brush chipper
- Operating a chainsaw
- Learning and memorizing knots
- Dealing with clients in a professional manner
- Working 8-10hr days in all weather conditions

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Arborist experience
- Interest in working outdoors performing manual labor in all weather conditions.
- Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, or horticulture experience is preferred.

**Salary**: $26.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- North Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
