The role represents the first step into the world of Personal Shopping. Delivering extraordinary service requires each lead sales consultant to have expertise about the products through the stores. This role is responsible for training and onboarding of all new Sales Consultants into the store. The Lead Sales Consultant aspires to sell a minimum of $1M per year and are on full commission which makes their earning potential unlimited. Upon reaching a volume of $1M, they are equipped with additional clientelling and customer development tools including a PDA and an annual allowance to provide unique experiences for their customers.
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Sell the entire store and wardrobe customers from head to toe
- Train new sales consultants as they come on board
- Develop and maintain customer profiles and information on Holt Renfrew systems
- Attend all educational sessions offered including product knowledge, vendor and Holt Renfrew seminars
- Ensure private shopping suites and areas are maintained whenever used for appointments
- Network within the community to raise profile of the role and Holt Renfrew
- Communicate regularly with personal customers through phone, mail, WeChat and electronic methods regarding in-store events, marketing programs, merchandise requests, sales follow-up, birthdays etc.
- Comply with all Health and Safety policies and requirements
- Perform other duties, as assigned
- Proven ability to exceed sales targets
- Knowledge of wardrobing and styling technique
- Expertise in establishing customer relationships which translate into sales
- Skilled at the emotional aspects of a sale; connects with customers and leverages relationships
- Highly collaborative; working with and through others in a team-oriented environment
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking with mínimal supervision
- Able to work a flexible work schedule based on the needs of the customer that includes nights, weekends, and holidays
- Minimum of two or more years experience in a commission-based sales environment
- Prior retail sales experience in a luxury environment preferred
- Entrepreneurial, competitive, self confident, and self-motivated
- Positive high energy team player with proven leadership capabilities, who takes initiative and ownership, drives results through people and process.
