Maplesoft Group is currently seeking an IT Security Design Specialist for one of our Federal Government clients in the National Capital Region. This work can be done remotely.

The following responsibilities are associated with the “Statement Of Work” but are not limited to:
Tasks

Review all relevant client's CSOC project artefacts and reports (including Current and Future State reports) to

become familiar with the environment and the vision;
Meet with the CSOC Planning Team and other key stakeholders to gather information on CSOC requirements,

people, tools and processes;
Develop and document CSOC Monitoring & Analysis and Incident Response strategies;
Participate in and/or facilitate project working groups to:

- Prepare options analyses evaluating and recommending relevant tools;
- Develop and document security monitoring use cases;
- Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimize the incident response triage function,

including managing false positives and opportunities for automation;
- Develop and implement custom security monitoring dashboards;
- Develop and document Incident Response playbooks;
- Prepare meeting minutes with action items (as required).

Develop/refresh documented procedures and processes for:

- Monitoring & Analysis
- Incident Response (mature)

Document a training path for CSOC Monitoring & Analysis and Incident Response analysts;
Mentor and coach client's CSOC team members.

The client’s Current State has been documented and provides the foundation for initial planning towards a future state

vision. Advice and guidance in the development of a detailed roadmap towards the desired maturity is required.

Development of functional strategies, procedures, processes, use cases and playbooks, including internal and

external hand offs are required.

All activities must take into account the client's organization and ensure alignment with relevant GC contexts, including

but not limited to policies, legislation, directives, existing processes etc.

Monitoring and Incident Response Strategies for the CSOC

Cyber Security use cases

Analysis report on Monitoring & Analysis and Incident Response tools, including pros, cons and ease of

integration with existing the client'senvironment, and recommendation(s) for the client

Monitoring & Analysis and Incident Response procedures and processes developed

Security monitoring dashboards

Report on recommended training path for Monitoring & Analysis and Incident Response
