**Position Overview**
As one of Ontario’s Experienced Masonry companies, Trican Masonry Contractors Inc. is excited to be growing our team We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator and Asset Manager to join our team, overseeing the health and safety requirements on various construction projects. This role will also involve managing the companies’ current and future assets. This position will partner with our Field Management team to ensure all OHSA and site-specific safety requirements are met. Further responsibilities will include overall safety performance including but not limited to site audits, safety program development, training and education, vehicle and equipment tracking, maintenance scheduling and record keeping.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the planning and implementation of company specific safety program.
- Create and update safety policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections to ensure adherence of Ministry and company safety standards.
- Educate, update, and maintain all health and safety training requirements.
- Investigate and accurately document all incidents, including but not limited to:

- Injuries
- Near misses
- Property and Equipment damage
- 3rd party claims
- Schedule and record required equipment and vehicle maintenance.
- Collaborate with Management Team to ensure Safety Programs are in place and suggest areas for improvement.

**Desired Skills and Experience**
- 2-5 years of experience as Health and Safety Coordinator in Construction, in either the ICI or residential marketplace.
- Must have a valid Ontario Drivers License and clean driving record.
- Experience with Procore an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Passion for construction and health and safety.
- Previous experience in developing and/or implementing safety.
- Strong planning and execution skills.
- Superior problem solving and judgment skills.
- Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate ideas and actions to those at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, challenging and constantly changing work environment.
- Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
