**Job Description**:
Purpose and Scope:
Responsible for all environmental health and safety (EHS) activities. Ensuring that safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental activities meet or exceed expectations with respect to all governing EHS standards, and that the facility complies with all governing regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Ensuring the adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO9001 all Stackpole International policies and any other industry standards in all activities
- Work in compliance with all applicable Environmental Health and Safety, and Quality Management Systems
- Coordinate inspection audits of facility and equipment to identify health and safety hazards and follow-up corrective action
- Coordinate all ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, audits, and corrective actions
- Maintain records and coordinate investigation of work related accidents, injuries, illnesses and incidents and make recommendations to reduce or eliminate root causes
- Investigate and respond to environment, health, and safety concerns/complaints
- Recognize the need for and coordinate employee training programs for EHS including accident and fire prevention
- Develop, maintain and update emergency response plans and equipment
- Manage WSIB claims management and Return-to-Work programs
- Coordinate and monitor environmental control activities
- Responsible for waste minimization, recycling, reduction of hazardous chemicals, pollution control, health/safety/environmental training, permits, disposal and regulatory reporting requirements
- Keeps abreast of federal, provincial, and local regulations, main registry
- Keeps management informed of health/safety/environmental activities
- Certified Management Representative for Joint Health & Safety Committee and accountable for all meeting and supporting activities
- Update and maintain EHS training materials and presentations
- Coordinate all contractor management
- Coordinate all security for facility including security access badges
- Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications, Education And / or Experience:

- Post-secondary education in Health and Safety and Environment or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in Health and Safety and Environmental field preferred, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Previous experience in an ISO 14001 and 45001 environment
- Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation
