**Duties**
- Prepare and organize ingredients for daily meal service, ensuring all items are prepped according to recipes and specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry area, including proper storage of food items.
- Assist in meal preparation by cooking and assembling dishes as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of meals served.
- Monitor inventory levels of pantry supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
- Participate in training sessions on food safety and kitchen best practices.
**Skills**
- Proven experience in food service or within the food industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
- Ability to assist with meal preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment as part of a team.
- A passion for cooking and helping others enjoy delicious meals.
