**SUMMARY**

Century Mile Racetrack and Casino is looking for a Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. Full and part time days and nights available.

As a line cook you will:

- prepare and cook food in a manner which will ensure a quality appearance and taste
- prepare meals as promptly as possible
- consistently maintain a clean and well-organized kitchen at all times
- perform all duties in compliance with safety standards and health standards.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
Demonstrated cooking experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant or gaming environment. Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure. Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing and prioritizing work.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**

Graduation from High School, or the equivalent in education and experience. One (1) or more years of recent and related cooking experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant or gaming environment.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**

WHMIS food safe certificate, Journeyman cook certificate or equivalent is an asset.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
- frequent brisk walking
- stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, kneeling, squatting
- standing for entire work shift, with standard breaks
- lifting trays containing food
- lifting up to 50 pounds to stack, store or move kitchen, restaurant supplies and equipment
- floors which may become slippery in the process of preparing food and beverages.

**This position would require evenings and weekends.
