**QUALITY ASSURANCE Technician**

**8:00 am to 4:30 pm (with flexibility on hours)**

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the **QA Technician**will be a key part of our Quality team and will be responsible for providing support and maintaining the Quality Programs at Paradise Island Foods.

Paradise Island Foods is a plant within the GayLea Foods Cooperative organization. We have been operating on Vancouver Island since 1978. We are one of British Columbia's fastest growing food manufacturing companies, with a primary focus on cheese. We are proud to be SQF Level III certified and HACCP registered: we have the highest possible food safety ratings.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain laboratory equipment.
- Operate laboratory apparatus.
- Set up chemical experiments, shelf-life tests and analyses.
- Compile records for analytical studies.
- Perform Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspections.
- Assist in developing programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards.
- Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results.
- Develop and conduct programs of sampling and root cause analysis.
- Complete other administrative duties as required.

**Qualifications - You ARE / HAVE**:

- Completed Secondary School.
- 1 to 2 years related experience.

Pay: From $23.31 per hour
