Come work with us at the Hotel Grand Pacific We’re looking for a Server to work in the popular Courtyard Café at our luxury property on Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour. If you have barista experience and enjoy interacting with people, we encourage you to apply.

Availability: To open or close, varies (mornings, evenings, weekends)

**Description of Duties**:

- Take, prepare and deliver food & beverage orders in a timely, accurate and professional manner
- Make product recommendations to customers and answer questions
- Accurately handle cash and process card payments
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area, counter area, and seating areas
- Participate in the daily stock control, ordering and re-stocking from the Main Kitchen
- Adhere to and maintain established department standards, to ensure that the service and products used by the guest are of the highest quality

**Qualifications & Abilities**:

- At least 1 year of barista experience
- Experience preparing café-style food
- Experience as a Barista
- Food Safe and Serving it Right certification required
- Cash handling experience
- Friendly manner and excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi task, remain organized and prioritize
- Ability to maintain constant concentration and attention to detail despite interruptions
- Squirrel experience an asset
- Available to work AM/PM/Weekends shifts

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.67 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift

- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Victoria, BC V8V 1X3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Serving: 2 years (preferred)
- Barista: 1 year (preferred)
- Squirrel software: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- FoodSafe (preferred)
- Serving It Right (preferred)

Work Location: In person
