Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in Blumenort, Manitoba. The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the recruiting and talent acquisition methods and strategies. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated recruiting Coordinator to assist in finding, sourcing, attracting, and hiring skilled people to fill the company’s needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in coordinating with the recruitment process by posting ad’s, screening resumes, performing reference checks, and completing onboarding process.
- Communicate with applicants about the position details, working conditions, benefits, and duties while ensuring employees are aware of the expectations.
- Work with project teams to determine on-site staffing requirements.
- Work together with the payroll department on new hires, employee information, lay-off notices, and wage increases.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and paperwork completion.
- Assist in creating company policies as required.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding concerns or requests.
- Support other assigned functions within the team.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field required.
- Prior experience in human resources, preferably within the construction industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
- Strong working skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
- Understanding of the construction industry is an asset.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- May require periodic visits to project sites to meet with employees and supervisors.
