Our Nuclear Canada business is experiencing significant growth including new nuclear projects domestically and internationally. Located in southeastern Romania, Cernavoda is home to two operating 650 MWe CANDU 6 pressurized heavy water reactors, Units 1 and 2, plus the partially completed 720 MWe CANDU 6 Units 3 and 4. The completion of Units 3 and 4 will add clean, stable, secure and affordable energy to the Romanian national energy system and is a cornerstone mega project for AtkinsRéalis.

We are seeking an experienced project manager who will report to the Deputy Project Director and be responsible for all aspects of engineering and procurement delivery. This role will require leadership of all project team members, and will be responsible for developing work execution plans, assignment of or recruitment of project team members, development of overall work breakdown structure (WBS), project deliverables, organizational chart, budget, schedule, subcontract and supplier strategy, risk management, project forecast and people forecasting and levelling (PFL) for the project. This role will require the day-to-day and career management of jr. project resources to the betterment of the individuals, the project and the business.

A project manager is expected to have significant experience in project delivery and project execution methodology including an understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, contract management and project controls principles. The individual will be a key member of a new mega-project and a critical part of setting the project on a path to success. On a routine basis, the PM is responsible for project reporting within the assigned scope, the effective implementation and oversight of project governance and procedures, progress toward milestones, leadership involvement in stakeholder management, realization of project goals, and accountability for project baseline and changes.

**Your role within the team**:

- ** Project Planning and Scope Definition**: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Define the project scope and deliverables in compliance with contract documents and client requirements.
- ** Team Leadership and Coordination**: Assemble and lead a multidisciplinary project team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- ** People Management**: Maintain supervisory org. and mange career development of assigned project resources to the betterment of the individuals, the project and the business. Assemble a project team through recruiting, interviewing and/or selecting staff with appropriate skills and establishing training and development programs suitable for the work. This generally requires close coordination with functional managers from various functions (engineering, project controls, safety, quality etc.). Make effective decisions / recommendations on human resource issues, work closely with Labour Relations as required to effectively resolve work performance issues within the project.
- ** Safety and Quality Assurance**: Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality requirements. Develop and enforce safety programs, training, and corrective action plans to maintain high performance standards.
- ** Procurement and Supply Chain Management**: Responsible for all contract management including scope & change control, requirements management, subcontractor and supplier management and governance for any flow-down requirements from the parent contract to subs and vendors.
- ** Stakeholder Communication**: Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure effective communication and coordination to keep all parties informed and aligned with project goals. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
- ** Ethical and Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure all project activities comply with corporate standards of ethical conduct, cyber-security, import-export regulations, intellectual property protections, and security clearance protocols.
- ** Nuclear Safety**: Accountable for all aspects of nuclear and industrial safety including adherence with corporate and customer safety programs, development and enforcement of necessary training and requirements, adherence to corrective action programs and enforcement of performance standards for all of the above.
