**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Develop comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to various proficiency levels, focusing on practical communication skills, literacy education, and cultural awareness.
- Deliver engaging lessons that incorporate instructional design principles, adult education strategies, and the latest learning technology tools within a classroom or virtual setting.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track student progress, assign coursework, and provide feedback that encourages continuous improvement.
- Implement classroom management techniques that promote respectful, inclusive, and productive learning environments for diverse student populations—including those with special needs such as deaf or visually impaired students.
- Conduct tutoring sessions to reinforce lesson content, address individual learning needs, and support learners in achieving their language goals.
- Coach fellow teachers by sharing best practices in teaching methodologies, classroom management, and the integration of new educational technologies.
- Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations, adjusting lesson plans accordingly to meet evolving learner needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives that enhance program quality and effectiveness for adult language education programs.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to adult education techniques, special education accommodations, bilingual instruction strategies, and literacy education advancements.

**Skills**
- Proven experience in teaching English as a Second Language across diverse age groups and proficiency levels.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and lesson planning tailored for adult learners.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technology platforms used for remote or blended instruction.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to effectively engage students from varied cultural backgrounds.
- Classroom management expertise that fosters respectful behavior while encouraging active participation.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with special needs including deaf education and visually impaired education accommodations.
- Experience working with students requiring literacy education support or tutoring services.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus for facilitating bilingual instruction or supporting bilingual learners.
- Knowledge of adult education principles and techniques that promote learner engagement and retention.
- Experience designing lessons that incorporate technology tools aimed at enhancing language acquisition outcomes.
