We offer a variety of programs and services aimed at helping individuals and families transition smoothly and successfully into Canadian society. Our ESL program is a key component of our support, providing essential language skills to help newcomers navigate daily life, pursue education, and secure employment.

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- **Assess Student Progress**: Regularly evaluate and monitor students' progress through assessments, providing feedback and adjusting teaching methods as needed.
- **Create a Supportive Environment**: Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence.
- **Utilize Teaching Resources**: Incorporate a variety of teaching materials and resources, including multimedia tools, to enhance learning.
- **Cultural Sensitivity**: Be aware of and sensitive to the diverse cultural backgrounds of students, adapting teaching methods to be culturally inclusive.
- **Classroom Management**: Maintain a well-organized and disciplined classroom to ensure an optimal learning environment.

Qualifications:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field. TESL/TEFL certification or equivalent is required.
- **Experience**: Previous experience teaching English as a Second Language, especially to beginners, is preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in using technology and multimedia tools in the classroom.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- **Attributes**:

- Patience and empathy in dealing with students of varying backgrounds and abilities.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and helping newcomers succeed.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
