Financial Analyst

**FINANCIAL ANALYST, PROPERTY OPERATIONS - GREATER TORONTO / COLLINGWOOD, ON**

Working with a team of corporate financial analysts and reporting to the Manager, Finance Operations, the Financial Analyst will support the property operations team in ensuring they have all the financial information and analysis they need (monthly reporting, dashboards, budgeting, forecasting, business case analysis, etc.) to operate seamlessly. In addition, they maybe required to support other functional departments or lines of businesses as necessary and as determined by the Director, Finance Operations.

Note: This is a mostly remote role that will require some attendance at our corporate office in
**Collingwood, ON**. However, we are offering a high degree of flexibility regarding in-office attendance.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Reporting and Analysis:_
- As a finance partner, lead and manage reporting and analysis requirements to an assigned regional portfolio of properties.
- Work closely with the regional property operations team on monthly reporting, variance analysis, operating performance analysis, preparing forecasts and budgets, and other ad hoc tasks as required.
- Identify trends, opportunities and recommend courses of action to reduce costs and help drive performance.
- Develop financial models and reports.
- Conduct variance analysis and process analysis, identifying gaps and proposing process improvements in operational reporting.
- Manage and conduct account reconciliations.
- Troubleshooting problems with financial systems.

- Conform with and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies & procedures.
- Document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Projects as assigned by the Manager, Finance Operations and the Director, Finance Operations.

**REQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 2 to 3 years of previous experience in a Financial Analyst role or a finance environment.
- A University or College degree from an accredited institution (preferably in business, finance, accounting, or a related field)
- Strong analytical skills.
- Advanced experience with MS Excel is preferred.
- Knowledge of major accounting software packages for general ledger and project accounting such as Great Plains is considered an asset.
- Experience working with databases for analysis.
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
- Proactive with a roll-up your sleeves attitude and aptitude for problem solving.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team on new tasks.
