Summer Intern, Facilities (Temporary, Full-Time, Contract)

Reporting into the Director of Facilities; and the Facility Manager /or their designate, the Summer Intern will work on a series of project-based assignments. This role is primarily on site and will require frequent travel between all TO Live venues in Toronto. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following duties.

**Activities & Responsibilities**
- Learn and understand key facilities management processes within TO Live
- Gain exposure to project administration and scheduling
- Support administration of work order system
- Support data entry in the work order management system
- Support inventory management.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Facilities management team.

**Job Specifications**
- A College student enrolled in a facility/ project management related program or a highly motivated recent graduate/ working professional with 0 to 2 years working experience with a strong interest in pursuing a career in facility management.
- Proficient with Microsoft packages such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions.
- Good time management skills.

**Working Conditions**
- All work will be primarily onsite at one of the three TO Live venues.
- Lack of natural light in workplace.
- Frequent travel between TO Live venues as required.

**THE ORGANIZATION**

TO Live is one of Canada’s largest multi arts organizations, operating three iconic venues: Meridian Hall, the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts and Meridian Arts Centre. In addition, TO Live presents a full range of performing arts, theatrical and concert events at these venues in both downtown and uptown Toronto. With these two hubs of creativity and content creation, TO Live has a unique place and perspective to activate creative spaces by inspiring local and international artists, connect audiences and to be the nexus for new ideas, elevate artistic potential, and be the catalyst for creative expression that is reflective of Toronto’s diversity.
