**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**:

- Enforce company policies and procedures and Health and Safety regulations
- Chair Joint Workplace Health and Safety Committee
- Assist with developing policies and plans to reduce employee risk
- Perform site/office inspections, investigate accident/incident reports
- Evaluate risks and hazards and suggest corrective actions
- Ensure safety training is completed and up to date
- Provide day-to-day assistance to the operations team
- Maintain confidential safety records and files
- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes related to workplace safety
- Complete daily shop walk-around for quality control procedures
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet QC
- Review work orders to verify customer specifications
- Report and track all non-conformance issues
- Assist in training of Q.C and safety
- Prepare reports
- Other administrative duties as assigned

**Education**:

- Post-secondary education in a related discipline (administration, health, and safety, quality control: background in the related industry an asset)
- Training in ISO 9001

**Professional/Technical certification**:

- Class 5 driver's license
- First aid
- Health and Safety designation would be an asset

**Job Knowledge or Work Experience**:

- 1+ Years in Health and Safety or risk mitigation
- 1+ years in ISO 9001
- Health and Safety Auditor would be an asset

**Competencies**:

- Complete discretion and comfortable handling sensitive information
- excellent written, oral and presentation skills: ability to write detailed comprehensive reports
- demonstrated organized skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting issues in an effective manner

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
