**Summary of Role Requirement**:
The Plant Supervisor will work with the Plant Operations Team in the ongoing operations of the mobile and stationary equipment, manpower assignments and direction. They will be dealing with receiving and processing a waste stream reaching the facility tipping floor followed by mechanical processing (shredding, manual separation and grinding) to salvage commodities and to make products for sale and/or further processing. The role includes coordination of shipping of materials for onsite use of disposal, and to offsite purchasers.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:
The Plant Supervisor will interact with other profit centre managers and the Director of Operations and Owner/CEO. It is envisioned that his/her staff would include:

- Shift Supervisors 2
- Laborers (16+/- per shift)

**Functional Responsibilities**:
Control Traffic Flow to and from MRF

Control & Optimize Material Processing & Product Flow for Markets

Product shipment (OCC, LCF, Off Spec.)

Establish, monitor and refine job performance standards (notably picking rates)

Determine and monitor pinch points and establish plans to clear as required, including making and

activating plans for alternate assignments for slowed or stopped line positions.

Monitor fuel values & specification compliance for all Process Engineered Fuel (LCF)

**Essential Duties**:

- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of facility from power management through daily start up to material flow control (Shared)
- Hire Employees as necessary and work to optimize material handing requirements, conceiving, and refining operational systems and improving efficiencies (Picking line)
- Comply with safety legislation and corporate safety requirements (interacting with corporate safety consultant)
- Create a positive team-oriented environment through employee development, engagement and motivation
- Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner
- Work as part of a corporate wide team of senior managers to identify and address areas of potential improvements with respect to commodities and products generated to meet specifications and extract maximum values.

**Work Environment**:

- Required to access the plant control center by three flights of stairs, and to access and traverse plant via catwalks and on the working and processing floors
- Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity for keyboard and machine operation part of workday
- Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, falls, bruises, burns, exposure to airborne contaminants) part of the workday
- Required to be exposed to a physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, much of the workday
