**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Are you passionate about shaping the future generation and making a positive impact in their lives? We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic **Regional Director** to join our dedicated team. As a Regional Director you will provide strategic leadership to the region in the achievement of Childventures goals for team members, family, quality programming, and financial success. The Regional Director trains and develops Centre Director’s so that they are capable of reaching and maintaining excellence in these areas. This position will work from home with frequent visits to the Centres within the designated region which can be York Region or Halton Region.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Leadership**
- Establish and communicate a regional strategy, which allows Centre Director’s to develop and achieve goals in conjunction with the organization’s goals
- Establish a plan for location visits. Develop a consistent schedule to assess goal achievement, program evaluation and to audit operating systems
- Hold Centre Director’s accountable for meeting operational objectives and budgeted financial performance of the Centre
- Manage Centre Directors so they are meeting operational objectives of the Centre
- Oversee implementation of organizations initiatives
- Ensure that Centre Director’s implement operating policies and procedures within time requirements
- Assist Centre Director’s in assessing, prioritizing, advocating for, and allocating resources
- Collaborate with Support Centre team and with the Executive Director on the development and implementation of programs and systems that represent the team perspective

**People Management**
- Establish and maintain a culture in keeping with the fundamental Childventures values. Develop a cohesive team among Centre Director’s.
- Take responsibility for Centre Director’s orientation and ongoing training.
- Establish and implement professional development goals with Centre Director’s. Ensure that expectations are clear and that performance standards are met
- Oversee the implementation of a regional recruiting and retention plan that addresses the short and long terms needs of the Centres
- Develop and implement regional succession plans that identify and develop future leaders within Childventures diverse workforce
- Model and lead diversity/inclusion philosophies and programs. Ensure that all team members are treated fairly
- Support Centre Director’s in the development of skills which will enable them to manage team relations, coaching, & disciplinary actions.
- Provide job performance feedback and establish goals and objectives for Centre Directors
- Ensure the implementation of a team recognition (Team UP) programs
- Guide and support the regional quality initiatives

**Financial**
- Ensure the financial goals for the region are met
- Assist in developing Centre budgets that meet revenue and earnings targets
- Forecast trends and analyze variances to determine appropriate operational adjustments
- Demonstrate knowledge of external market rates for tuition and salaries
- Assure that locations provide accurate and timely financial reporting
- Ensure financial understanding at the campus level that will link the budget and financial reports to operational activities
- Submit monthly reports

**Program**
- Meet or exceed ministry expectations according to organizational goals and contract requirements at the locations and in the region
- Champion implementation of educational, training and family communication initiatives and consistently strive for program innovation and excellence
