Bread 'N Batter Co. is a family bakery situated in the heart of Milton, Ontario. Upon being featured on Food Network's Project Bakeover, the demand has quickly increased, hence, the call to grow our team. We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and self-directed individual that will bring their passion and experience to our well-loved products and work environment.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must be a student or graduate of a Baking and/or Culinary Arts Program
- Must have some baking experience
- Must have a positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
- Must strictly adhere to food safety practices and standards
- A valid Food Safety and Handler's Certificate is an asset
- 1+ years of Culinary Management or leadership role is an asset
- Must be available on early shifts (6:00 am) and Saturday (5:30 am).

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **Bake cakes, pastries and bread.** _Some of these products may include: Layered and tiered cakes, Cupcakes, Macarons, Dacquoise, Biscuits, Empanadas, Seasonal features, etc_
- A**ssist in dough work and preparations.** _Some of these products may include:_ _Yeast doughs, Laminate doughs, Pastry doughs, etc._
- Determine production numbers through daily inventory counts
- Decorate cakes and cupcakes according to daily demands and orders
- Communicate and work efficiently with team
- Maintain proper workplace hygiene (i.e. clean uniform, proper grooming, non-slip shoes, etc)
- Keep workplace and work stations clean, tidy, and sanitary

**SKILLS AS ASSETS**:

- Ability to create new products based off of the culture of our brand
- Ability to decorate cakes and cupcakes with speed and finesse
- Has a Valid Food Safety and Handling Certificate
- More than 2 years of culinary experience
- Customer Service Experience
- Knowledge of WHMIS

**COMPENSATION**:

- Starting pay of **$19.00**_**/ hour**_
- _**Eligible for benefits**_ after 6 months of Full-time Employment
- **NOTE**:_ _There will be a regular assessment, and re-evaluation will occur by or after probation. There is great opportunity for advancement in this position._
