**JOB SUMMARY**

Reporting to the Plant Foreman, the Lead Hand is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the afternoon shift on the production floor. This position’s responsibilities include the daily supervision of both the wall panel and machine operating divisions. They will oversee the bundling of all wall panels, components, and parts to ensure safety and quality standards are consistently being met.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for production efficiency - manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and high-quality products
- Trouble shoot quality control issues
- Manage and supervise the wall panel and machine operators, and help to resolve any issues
- Actively participate and lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Inspect work areas for safety hazards and observe employees for safe work habits
- Oversee material handling to conduct inventory counts
- Interpret and understand panel drawings in order to layout, frame and sheath complex wall panels

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 3 or more years working in production in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Previous supervisory experience considered an asset
- Strong verbal/written communication skills as well as organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strategic thinker with a focus on process improvement
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures

**HOURS OF WORK**:Monday to Thursday, 4:30pm - 3:30am

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $24.00 per hour
