at Fort Edmonton Park — a winter festival destination for discovering regional brands and makers, food and culinary experiences, live entertainment, activities and more.

We are seeking motivated and vibrant individuals to join our site team for the Edmonton Christmas Market (ECM) team. Reporting to the General Manager and the Creative Director the **Design Decor Crew **will assist with Site setup, teardown and daily operations of the Edmonton Christmas Market.

**Report to**: Creative Director Manager

**Payment Type**: Contractor

**JOB DELIVERABLES**

Delivery of high level customer service at the Edmonton Christmas Market. This includes, but is not limited to:

- Be on site at the Edmonton Christmas Market at Fort Edmonton Park to support the event team Nov 18 - Dec 22, 2024 and training/orientation
- Moving supplies, set up and tear down of very specific and sometimes delicate artistic installations (Requires heavy lifting, objects up to 50lbs)
- Willing to work in cold weather environments including weather systems like snow, wind or rain and possibly extreme cold weather.
- Willing to take direction and work as directed and willingness to change directions with short notice
- Working with hands and tools in outdoor cold weather environments.
- At all times acts as a host and brand ambassador with a positive attitude spreading joy/holiday cheer You help set the tone for other staff, vendors and customers each day.
- Adhering to and enforcing strict workplace, health and safety policies on site, when applicable
- Other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition.Strong work ethic, problem solving, troubleshooting and good communication are needed.
- Previous experience working the art department in film, events, or theater is a must
- Clothing suitable for extreme cold weather conditions
- Willing to take direction, complete tasks without supervision, and acts with integrity when unsupervised
- Construction or carpentry experience is an asset
- Working at heights certification or Forklift experience and certification is considered an asset
- Willing to “pitch-in” and assist the ECM team and be a team player.
- Successful applicants must be available to work for the entirety of the Edmonton Christmas Market, which may include pre-production orientation and post production tear down. Vacation blackout period is in effect from November 18, 2024 to December 22, 2024 Wednesday through Sunday.

**Compensation**: Hourly contract starting at $25/hour.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 1.5 month

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 44 per week

- 12 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Night shift
