- **PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:_
- _**MUST be registered with the OCP as a pharmacy technician**_
- Assist Pharmacy Manager in the day-to-day management of workload;
- Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders
- Work independently on labeling and filling/refilling prescriptions.
- Perform an independent double check for repeat prescription release.
- Verify that the customer receives correct prescription(s).
- Identify potential therapeutic issues and seek the Pharmacist’s therapeutic check
- Work collaboratively with Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy Patient Programs in fulfilling pharmacy responsibilities.
- Prepare/review and process billings, claims, disbursements and related documents.
- Assist patients who are picking up prescriptions.
- Enter prescriptions into the computer; retrieve and/or correct data in computer.
- Screen calls and gather relevant information for Pharmacist.
- Order, maintain, and prepare inventory of medications.
- Review invoices or other documentation.
- Pack and ship prescription orders.
- Receive and maintain accurate inventory.
- Communicate with patients, prescribers, healthcare professionals, and other key player to support patients through their treatment journey.
- Verify and investigate insurance coverage and benefits for patients, including eligibility, co-payments, deductibles, and prior authorizations.
- Gather and document information from patients/caregivers/prescribers in a concise, organized, and professional manner.
- Complete, submit, and follow-up on requisite paperwork in a timely manner.
- Liaise with private and public insurance providers to determine coverage options.
- Act as a central liaison for stakeholders such as physicians, nurses, patients, and clinics and provide required updates.
- The Registered Pharmacy Technician will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time.
**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Two or more years of related pharmacy experience;
- Proficiency in Kroll;
- Organized with the ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy;
- Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations;
- Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
- Excellent time management skills;
- Bilingualism, French/English is an asset
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$64,900.00 per year
