As a **Dietary Aide/cook** you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and satisfaction of our Sisters’ and guests’ dining experience. Some responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and storing incoming food and supplies efficiently
- Monitoring the quality of received food and supplies and promptly notifying the Nutrition Manager of any issues
- Reporting food, supply, and equipment needs to the Dietary Manager
- Strictly adhering to proper food handling techniques and infection control practices
- Carrying out food preparation, menu planning, and food sanitation activities while upholding food safety standards
- Assisting in the efficient operation of the dining room, coordinating meal deliveries, and accommodating specialty catering orders
- Assisting with pot washing and operating the dish machine
- Meeting the physical requirements of the position to ensure efficient performance
- Demonstrating reliability, efficiency, tidiness, and conscientiousness in all tasks
- Maintaining a courteous and tactful demeanor when interacting with seniors, nursing staff, colleagues, and guests
- Working independently and collaboratively
- Good attendance and punctuality a must
- Experience working as a cook, an asset
- **QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**_
*2 years or more experience in food service / institutional experience preferred
*Culinary Programs/Certificates/Courses an asset
*Bilingual (French/English)
**Certifications**:
- Current Safe Food Handlers Certificate _**(required)**_
- Minimum Secondary School Diploma _**(required)**_
- Police Vulnerable sector check - less than 1 year old _**(required)**_
- 2 step TB test - (or updated status) _**(required)**_
- COVID 2 Dose + 1 Booster vaccinations _**(required)**_
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $19.15 per hour

**Experience**:
