Seasonal Technical Representative

We are seeking an independent Seasonal Technical Representative (Tech Rep) to deliver impactful in-store clinics, staff training, and brand representation across Western Canada for Fall-Winter 2025. The focus will be BC and Alberta, with additional touch points across Western Canada.

**Contract Term**: October 1, 2025 - January 15, 2026

**Compensation**: $18,000 total contract fee (inclusive of all costs). Bonus opportunities may be available for completing specified visits, special events, and activations.

**Future Potential**: Eligible for contract renewal for Spring-Summer 2026, with possible pathway to an expanded role if mutually successful.

**About Tandem West Sales**

Tandem West Sales is a premium outdoor sales agency representing Fjällräven, Kombi, Sea to Summit, OluKai, 2undr, and Hanwag. We are committed to building meaningful relationships with retailers and providing exceptional product knowledge to support our partners’ success.

**Scope of Work**

The Contractor will be engaged to provide the following services:

- Conduct in-person clinics and staff training sessions.
- Represent Tandem West Sales brands at retailers, mountain resorts, and key events with an education and training focus.
- Travel across designated territory loops and attend booked clinics and events.
- Provide reporting and insights from the field to Tandem West Sales’ Customer Experience team.
- Support special event launches, brand activations, and tradeshow set-up and tear-down.
- Assist with showroom duties as required.

**Key Deliverables (FW25 Targets)**
- ~40 in-person product knowledge clinics at various locations within Western Canada
- ~70 additional in-person store visits
- ~6 virtual clinics

**Travel & Clinic Loops (FW25)**

Tandem West Sales will manage bookings and scheduled events for the duration of the contract, focusing on locations as outlined below. Some flexibility in dates and locations is possible.

Oct 1 - Oct 31, 2025:

- **Lower Mainland/Okanagan/Kamloops/Kelowna/Vernon/Revelstoke/Nelson**

Nov 1 - Nov 15, 2025:

- **Vancouver Island (Victoria, Nanaimo, Campbell River)**

- **Mountain Resorts (15 resorts including Whistler, Cypress, Seymour, Grouse, Silverstar, Sun Peaks, Big White, Kicking Horse, Revelstoke, Sunshine, Lake Louise, Norquay, Nakiska, Kimberley, Panorama, Fernie)**

Jan 5 - Jan 15, 2026:

- **Vancouver / Lower Mainland**

**Contract Structure & Payments**
- **Compensation**: $18,000 total contract fee, payable in instalments throughout contract term.
- **Expenses**: All travel, accommodation, meals, and other business-related expenses are the Contractor’s sole responsibility and will not be reimbursed.
- **Bonus Opportunity**: Potential for additional pay tied to specific deliverables and activations (to be agreed in writing).

The Contractor is responsible for maintaining financial records, issuing invoices to Tandem West Sales, and filing all applicable taxes (including GST/HST if required).

**Contractor Requirements**
- Experience in outdoor retail, brand representation, or sales.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Passion for outdoor gear and active lifestyles.
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle equipped with winter tires and suitable for travel through mountain passes.
- Ability to secure and maintain personal travel insurance and coverage as needed.
- Self-starter mindset with strong organizational skills and ability to collaborate effectively with Tandem West Sales while managing work independently

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3.5 months

Pay: $6,000.00 per month
