**Position Summary**
As a **Journeyperson Carpenter** at the Calgary Stampede, you’ll play a key role in maintaining, constructing, and enhancing the infrastructure across Stampede Park. This position supports a diverse range of projects from general facility repairs to the fabrication of custom structures for year-round programming and events, including the iconic Calgary Stampede. You’ll be part of a collaborative and energetic team that takes pride in craftsmanship, safety, and delivering exceptional experiences for our guests, clients, and community partners.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Construction & Maintenance**:
- Construct, repair, and renovate buildings, event structures, fences, stages, platforms, and park infrastructure
- Perform routine and emergency carpentry-related maintenance across the park
- Install doors, windows, walls, framing, cabinetry, fixtures, and other structural components
- **Event Support & Custom Builds**:
- Participate in setup and takedown of large-scale events, including custom scenic builds and temporary installations
- Collaborate with Event Services, Technical Services, and other trades to bring creative concepts to life
- Modify or adapt existing structures to meet event-specific requirements
- **Safety & Quality Assurance**:
- Follow building codes, safety regulations, and company policies at all times
- Inspect worksites, tools, and materials to ensure quality and compliance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
- **Team Collaboration & Communication**:
- Work closely with other trades including electricians, plumbers, and scenic artists
- Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions
- Provide input on material selection, project planning, and timelines
