Jardeg is currently recruiting for a **Carpenter Journeyperson** to join the Buildings team in the city of **Calgary**

The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday.**The shift may include extended hours and weekends, as required by the site.

**Aa a Journeyperson Carpenter, you will**:
- Build forms for concrete
- Cut, shape, and join
- Look for and fix deficiencies
- Building of hoarding and other temporary structures
- Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
- Studies blueprints for work planning
- Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
- Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Acts as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters- Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures- Perform labourer duties in addition to carpentry work
- General site upkeep

**Requirements**:

- Preference will be given to a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
- Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS
- Fall Protection is an asset
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
