Maintenance Assistant

**Job Overview**

**Duties**:

- Perform general maintenance tasks such as repairing or replacing defective equipment parts and building maintenance
- Assist in fabricating, constructing, and installing structures or equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas
- Electrical and plumbing maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance issues promptly
- Welding tasks as needed

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in English to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with staff and visitors in a professional manner
- Experience in facilities maintenance to ensure proper upkeep of the premises
- Ability to stick weld an asset.
- Knowledge of schematics to understand technical drawings
- Previous mechanical experience needed
- Must be capable of working in a hot environment
- Heavy lifitng when required
- Occasional Saturday's may be needed on short notice.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.81-$23.81 per hour
