**Summary**

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Human Resource Administrator will perform a range of duties relating to the human resources responsibilities and activities within the organization. The position requires a summer student who is a conceptual thinker with fantastic organizational and conflict management skills who is in post secondary institution. The Government of Canada funded this job through the Canada Summer Jobs program for an eight week period at 35 hours per week.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with internal and external HR-related matters
- Participate in developing organizational guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Review employee recognition and incentive programs
- Coordinate updates to HRIS system
- Manage employee records and prepare reports upon request
- Review performance management process and recommend changes
- Keep up-to-date with latest HR trends and best practices

**Requirements**:

- At least one year of post-secondary education
- Specialization in an HR related field, preferred
- Understanding of HR best practices, Labor Law and employment regulations an asset
- Efficient HR administration and people management skills
- Excellent record-keeping skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines
- Remarkable organizational and conflict management skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Great attention to detail
