Job Description - Operation manager
Edmonton | Under the supervision of the Senior Operation Director - Western Canada, the Operation Manager is responsible for the coordination and deployment of projects, the management of employees within the branch, project profitability and customer satisfaction. This position has a direct impact on the company and its future. The person in this position will be expected to inspire the vision, mission, and values of the company in his or her daily actions, in addition to demonstrating leadership and vivacity.
Responsabilities
- Detail Participate in the development and responsible for the implementation of Nucleom's strategic plan
- Create, monitor, and analyze key KPIs, as well as other indicators relevant to the achievement of the company objectives
- Manage the employees including their performance, satisfaction, and development
- Attend and contribute to divisional Operation and Safety meetings
- Perform safety audits on site
- Ensure safety compliance and COR certification is maintained
- Foresee business needs in terms of service expansion and requirements for personnel training and coordinate with engineering manager to set up technical training planning
- Create business case documentation for division CAPEX requirements
- Execute business development initiatives including lunch and learn, site walkdowns and technical demonstrations to customers
- Generate quotations with input from Operation Director and Project Manager
- Technical writing to support mechanical integrity, pipeline, and engineering services
- Assist with project planning activities as required
- Manage crews on site for major projects, as required
- Perform inspections when technician availability is limited or when needed,
- Responsible for purchases approval, receipt and shipping, inventory management and equipment/material orders
- Responsible for the overall management of the facility, including maintenance, repair, communication with the landlord and general security
- Oversee safe operation of vehicles in the region, including repair and maintenance as required.
**Requirements**:
Education and Training
- Minimum of 2 years experience in non-destructive testing in a management role
- Minimum two Level 2 NDE certifications
- Minimum of 10 years field experience in non-destructive testing
- Relevant knowledge in finance
- Bachelor’s degree, an asset

- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Understanding of project and business financials
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
