We are a fast paced companion animal clinic looking for a driven, enthusiastic, reliable individual to join our team. Applicants must have previous experience working in a vet clinic and/or a Veterinary Assistant diploma or a Veterinary Administration diploma. Position is for Monday-Friday as well as some weekend and holiday shifts. Previous experience with Cornerstone or Avimark software a definite asset.

Applicants must be able to multitask and deal well in high pressure situations.

*Applicants that are currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a certified Veterinary Technician program will be considered for a technician position.

The position entails but is not exclusive to:

- Cleaning kennels, maintaining cleanliness of clinic
- Client care
- Feeding/medicating patients
- Attending to boarding animals (walking, feeding, medicating)
- Record keeping
- Answering phones/booking appointments & surgical procedures
- Admitting/discharging patients
- Cash handling/invoicing
- Assisting Veterinarian/techs/groomer with restraint for procedures
- Running blood work & urinalysis samples
- Post-operative care
- Must be able to safely lift a minimum of 25lbs

Part-time hours: 30-40 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
