**Role description**

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team This position is the day shift. You will conduct quality assurance inspections, maintain the company’s BRC program and identify areas to improve quality and food safety.

**Responsibilities**:

- Carry out GMP and other trainings for the production team
- Perform ATP testing, Allergen testing, and Environmental Swabbing
- Perform internal calibration of equipment - Scales, thermometers, etc. and handle external calibrations
- Manage sites Pest Control Program
- Control the HOLD and RELEASE Procedures
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality and food safety program
- Conducts Risk Assessment of food safety/food quality-related concerns
- Documentation verification and filing
- Perform plant inspections and lead internal audits
- Perform annual validations - CCP validation, Cleaning & Sanitation validation, etc.
- Perform Mock Recalls and Trend Analysis
- Ensure all documentation, calibrations, and verification tasks are up to date
- Assist in all audits and quality assurance program development
- Update SOP/Program and manage implementation at the plant level
- Actively participate in all meetings - Quality, HACCP, KPI’s, etc.
- Ensure quality assurance standards and good manufacturing practices are being followed throughout the plant.
- Enforce all housekeeping and GMP procedures
- Perform all other duties assigned by QA department

**Qualifications**:

- A college/University Diploma in food science is preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality role, in the food industry.
- Outstanding knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and BRC standard
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional team members to successfully address complex issues
- Strong analytical, organization, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $52,000.00-$58,000.00 per year
