Happy in my Home (HIMH) Community Support Services of Niagara (CSSN) is currently seeking a full-time permanent (35 hours per week) Supervisor to add to our team. HIMH is a volunteer based, not-for-profit agency providing comprehensive support services to assist older adults and adults with disabilities to live independently in their homes. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Supervisor will be responsible for supervising daily operations for determined program services which may include Transportation, Homemaking, Let’s Go Home and more. This position is also responsible for ensuring program growth and sustainability through continuous quality improvement, client and staff satisfaction and risk management practices.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to Program Coordinators.
- Organize and oversee workflow and ensure Program Coordinators are following through with tasks and delegated duties.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide feedback and coaching.
- Ensure team members meet deadlines for key projects and tasks.
- Ensure team members are knowledgeable of program requirements, including targets, quality measurements and risk management processes.
- Investigate, monitor and document client and /or volunteer concerns, complaints and resolves issues.
- Ensure compliance with agency procedures and policies.
- Support the Program Manager with keeping Program Coordinators abreast of changes or updates to programs and/or processes.
- Support the Program Manager in reviewing monthly service metrics for programming to ensure continued program growth and sustainability.
- Support the Program Manager with performance reviews of Program Coordinators.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training and orientation of new staff.
- Performs other duties and functions as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Degree/diploma in social services, relevant health care field or business administration.
- Preferred previous experience working in the community support services sector.
- Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience, with proven leadership skills and conflict resolution preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including team building skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; specifically, Excel.
- Experience creating budgets, cost analysis worksheets, mileage reports and more.
- Experience working with a CRM.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and own vehicle required.
- Bilingual in French and English is preferred.
