Mon Pitou is hiring an experienced Evening Barista to join our exceptional team in Vancouver's first location. This is a casual late-afternoon/evening position with mandatory availability until 10 pm. Ranges between 10-15 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete coffee orders throughout the day using a state-of-the-art espresso machine.
- Work independently and be able to oversee the entire storefront.
- Pack and sell our retail products, including on Uber.
- Organize and consolidate pastries sold throughout the afternoon.
- Build rapport with new customers and returning customers
- Liaise with other peers to help where needed
- Perform tasks for closing duties, and prep for the next day opener.
- Proper cleaning and shut-down of coffee machine.
- Meeting the needs of all guests through customer service and product knowledge
- Stocking/restocking of all in-store products and goods
- Cash handling and transactions
- Organize, wash and maintain dish-ware
- General housekeeping and maintenance
- Professionally and knowledgeably represent the company
- Ensure customer satisfaction through de-escalation methods
- Prevent and minimize waste.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of cumulative experience as a barista in a busy establishment required. Only baristas with manual espresso experience will be considered.
- 6 months of serving is an asset
- Ability to multitask, and think critically
- Has a sense of business acumen and self-confidence
- Familiar with operating and troubleshooting POS
- Ability to multitask and handle different priorities at once
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Collaborative, honest and dependable
- Fluent in English
- FoodSafe is a bonus
